It is evident and quite clear that the convenience and perks Solid Cologne has over spray cologne makes it a superior option when considering cologne. If you haven't noticed check out this blog on the superior nature of solid vs spray!
Other than convenience, there are major benefits that solid cologne offers. With that being said, let us dive into the main differences in Solid Cologne vs traditional spray cologne:
- Spray Cologne
Traditional spray cologne/fragrance is made up of 80% alcohol and water, which may cause irritation and damage to skin that is sensitive. I, myself, have sensitive skin and never knew why my skin would dry up once using cologne.
A report published in 2010 issued by The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics in partnership with the Environmental Working Group (EWG) took it a step further and dove into the use of chemicals in spray colognes. Chemicals found in fragrances may be hazardous to your health, yet makers of popular colognes often don't disclose all the ingredients found in their products. ''The fragrance mixture itself can be comprised of dozens, even hundreds, of individual chemicals, and those don't have to be listed on the label," says Jane Houlihan, senior vice president for research for EWG. She also adds, some of them have been linked to allergic reactions or hormone disruption.
While spray cologne does have amazing scents and sex appeal, the fear of the unknown is definitely real. This caused me to find other options.
- Solid Cologne
First off, Solid Cologne is alcohol-free and made without any chemicals. Rather, it is made with beeswax and essential oils. Yes I thought the same exact thing, "Does it smell the same though?" and absolutely it does. In fact, with Solid Cologne being made from wax I've found that it lasts longer too!
Solid Cologne is made up of a handful of ingredients. There are a few main ingredients that can be found in Solid Cologne and are worth noting:
- Jojoba oil, full of vitamins and antioxidants in addition to it being similar to the natural oils of our skin, meaning it moisturizes and absorbs quickly!
- Castor oil, packed with vitamin E, minerals and proteins that are very beneficial to the skin.
- Grape seed oil, rich in vitamin E that acts as an antioxidant and protects skin from free radical damage and has slight antiseptic properties.
These ingredients in combination with beeswax, over-time, would work wonders for your skin in comparison to traditional spray cologne.
Ultimately, this is all a mere justification in making a switch from traditional spray cologne to pursue other options like solid cologne.
It's time for a change.
